Palio dei Ciuchi di Asciano (Palio of Donkey of Asciano)
The competition is held on the second Sunday in September around the old municipal stadium G. Marconi. The donkeys run instead of horses each representing one of the seven districts of the village (il Corso, il Prato, la Tranquilla, la Corona, la Stazione, Piazza del Grano, la Pergola).

The stands diagonally across the entire old town, enlivening even the smaller streets and the shadow of many arcades. In this Tuscan square gather each month over a thousand exhibitors (a true record, at least in Italy), involving many foreign merchants.
